About The Position

Fidelity Power Systems is seeking a seasoned Generator Technician to join its expanding team serving the Greater Richmond area, based out of Henrico, Virginia. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing critical power equipment, including standby generator systems and related electrical systems. The technician works directly with customers and completes service documentation, repair quotes, and truck inventory upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Vo-tech school or military training.
• John Deere, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar engine training.
• Training on Automatic Transfer Switches.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards.
• Perform routine generator maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, and cooling system services.
• Troubleshoot complete electrical systems.
• Work with customers on a one-on-one basis.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Maintain truck inventory.
