About The Position

Fidelity Power Systems is seeking an experienced Generator Service Technician to support its team in the Greater Roanoke area, based out of Roanoke, Virginia. The role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing critical power equipment, including standby generator systems and gas and diesel engines. The technician works directly with customers and completes service documentation, repair quotes, and truck inventory maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Vo-tech school or military training.
• John Deere, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar engine training.
• Training on automatic transfer switches.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards and complete electrical systems.
• Perform routine generator maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, and cooling system services.
• Work with customers on a one-on-one basis.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports.
• Prepare accurate repair quotes.
• Maintain truck inventory.
