About The Position

This position supports FMPA’s powerplants through a variety of centralized support functions. The role will have responsibility for the fleet monthly internal and regulatory plant reporting as well as monthly deliverables tracking. The role will also support the plants with fleetwide inventory tracking as well as intramonth budget reporting. The role will support environmental and safety functions with tracking and maintenance of certain documentation in HSI in an administrative role. This role will cross train and be backup support for both the Maximo and Meridian System functions with responsibility for ensuring plant technical documents and procedures are available and searchable for all FMPA generation support departments as well as plant personnel. The role directly supports Planning, Generation Operations and Generation Engineering Departments, and related work as apparent or assigned. This role routinely produces technical operating reports used for submission to regulatory entities and ensures that relevant Planning studies are coordinated properly. This role is performed under the supervision of the Generation Support and Environmental Manager.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures.
  • General knowledge of related industry, power plant operational data, organization, and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances, and laws.
  • General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques.
  • General knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic.
  • Ability to type accurately at a reasonable rate of speed.
  • Ability to make arithmetical calculations.
  • Ability to operate a variety of data entry and office equipment.
  • Ability to establish and effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
  • Knowledge of generation plant drawing management systems and practices.
  • Knowledge of Planning practices, use of FTMS systems, and ability to possess FRCC credentials.
  • Proficiency in Excel for report configuration utilizing large, complex spreadsheets and data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience in the utility industry preferably in the Plant Operations area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with FMPA-operated Generation facilities Plant Managers to complete monthly Plant Operating reports.
  • Works closely with Generation, Engineering, Environmental and Safety on monthly deliverable tracking and reporting.
  • Works closely with generation facilities on inventory tracking to ensure fleetwide synergies on inventories are achieved and to ensure Maximo records for inventory are accurate and complete.
  • Works closely with Generation to ensure intramonth Maximo reports to track expenditures between budget to actual reporting are accurate and available.
  • Performs role as HSI administrator in support of safety and environmental.
  • Supports Generation with data requests related to NERC standards and information available from Maximo to support NERC submissions to Compliance Department.
  • Supports Generation fleetwide synergies and efficiencies by tracking common vendor arrangements that can be utilized at multiple sites with transparency to Generation facilities Plant Managers.
  • Monitors and files the various reports such as safety and incident reports from all Agency sites.
  • Assists other departments with reports of Power Plant statistical data.
  • Requests certificates of insurance (COI) from vendors and maintains database of COI.
  • Review monthly invoices from generation resources not fully owned by the agency for accuracy and compliance with contract pricing.
  • Support with other FRCC operations postings area sites and files as needed.
  • Serve as backup administrator for the Meridian drawing database, including provide login access as requested/required. Develops metadata for the drawings or documents and assists Engineering in the filing/retrieving process.
  • Serve as backup resource for Maximo routine tasks, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, work order management, reporting, encumbrance reporting etc.
