About The Position

We're looking for an HR Generalist I to support day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll partner closely with plant leadership and employees to support staffing, employee relations, compliance, benefits and leave administration, onboarding, payroll support, and workforce programs. You'll play an important role in helping us maintain a safe, compliant, and engaged hourly workforce through responsive service, accurate recordkeeping, and hands-on HR support.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle sensitive employee matters.
  • A strong customer service mindset and the ability to remain professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with sound judgment and a practical work style.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and employee groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Three years of HR support, HRIS, or related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday, UKG, Beeline, and iCIMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain HRIS data and personnel files to support accuracy, compliance, and timely follow-up on documentation.
  • Apply HR policies, practices, and procedures consistently across the site.
  • Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee communication, and wellness initiatives.
  • Respond to employee questions and help resolve workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support recruiting, engagement, retention, performance management, and other workforce programs.
  • Administer leave and accommodation processes, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, STD, and LTD.
  • Manage hourly recruiting activities, including job postings, interviews, candidate flow, and applicant tracking.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation, retention efforts, and exit processes.
  • Support payroll processes to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Partner with staffing agencies to help manage staffing levels, hours worked, and workforce needs.
  • Conduct workplace investigations, escalate concerns as needed, and support conflict resolution efforts.
  • Communicate updates to HR policies, procedures, and employee benefit programs.
  • Support site safety policies and regulatory compliance, including required manufacturing safety programs.
  • Maintain day-to-day HR systems, records, and administrative processes.
  • Take on other related duties and special projects as assigned.
