About The Position

This role is for a General Warehouse Worker on the 1st shift, operating from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The position is based at Wilson Sporting Goods Co.’s Warehouse / DC in Mt. Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to work the 1st shift work schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM CT.
Schedule flexibility is required, as dictated by business demand and available resources, including overtime at times.
Must be able to pass required OSHA CERTIFIED Written Test.
Must be able to pass pre-employment basic aptitude driving test.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to count accurately and efficiently.
Ability to focus on details. Accuracy is a must.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

1-year previous experience packing freight.

Responsibilities

Participates in the daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse.
Verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of outgoing goods per customer order.
Ensures all customer orders have shipping labels and are packed to customer specifications.
Selects and processes materials and cartons.
Picks and fills customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
Organizes and retrieves stock in the warehouse.
Handles routine needs that arise in the shipping department.
Identifies and maintains necessary equipment, tools, and supplies.
Inspects equipment, performs daily checklists, and communicates deficiencies to supervision.
Continually meets production efficiency levels.
Maintains quality of work with a focus on accuracy.
Works independently and in a team environment, willing to help in other departments and work overtime when necessary.
Consistently works scheduled shifts and is on time to comply with company attendance policy.
Packs orders according to customer’s shipping instructions.
Applies shipping labels.
Documents carton count for outgoing LTL and Truckload customer shipments.
Prioritizes orders based on customer’s expected ship date.
Communicates with department supervisor, crew leader, and office personnel to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
Uses a computer to pack customer orders utilizing SAP Warehouse Management when necessary.
Scans each carton.
Weighs each carton.
Operates manual pallet jack equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
Trains new associates on shipping tasks.
Sweeps and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Reports any unsafe work conditions.
Performs other duties as required.
