JOB DESCRIPTION: GENERAL WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
About The Position
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for various warehouse operations including order fulfillment, quality control, shipping, and inventory management. This role requires accuracy, productivity, and adherence to company standards and safety protocols. The associate will utilize RF scanner guns for picking and inventory tasks, and will be responsible for checking, packaging, and invoicing customer orders. Additionally, the role involves stock put away, replenishment, and cycle counts. The position demands flexibility in schedule, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina for tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive motions.
Requirements
- Must have dependable and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to operate forklift and electric pallet jack
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment sometimes for long hours
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate seasonal overtime needs including weekend work
- Ability to work under pressure with strong motivation and a sense of urgency
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Physical stamina - Must be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level and crouching on a frequent basis
- Physical strength – Must be able to lift 30 lbs frequently
- Must be able to shift priorities easily
- Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Must be positive and friendly with ability to work in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Pick ordered items from correct bin location
- Quality check to verify items and quantities match customer order
- Repack order boxes to the appropriate size when needed
- Remove any unnecessary product labels and/or work orders
- Daily stock putaway and replenishment
- Daily cycle counts
- Follow all best procedural practices
- Meet all production standards during peak season
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Follow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
