About The Position

Frederick Health Medical Group (FHMG), a highly respected 160+ provider, multi-specialty medical group, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to join our growing urology program. This opportunity is ideal for a urologist seeking strong earning potential, an established referral base, access to advanced surgical resources, and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of urologic services within a physician-led health system. This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive general urology within a well-supported and growing program. The successful candidate will care for a broad spectrum of urologic conditions while working alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other clinical team members. The practice benefits from a strong network of primary care and specialty providers throughout Frederick Health, supporting an established and growing patient base. Physicians have access to hospital, ambulatory, procedural, diagnostic, and surgical resources necessary to provide comprehensive urologic care. The practice model is designed to support clinical productivity, efficiency, and long-term career satisfaction, while providing opportunities for physicians to develop areas of clinical interest and participate in the continued advancement of the urology program. Call responsibilities are structured to be manageable and equitable, supporting both professional fulfillment and personal balance.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Urology
  • Active Maryland license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider)
  • Unrestricted license with no history of suspension or revocation
  • Eligible for participation with all payers

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with urologic conditions
  • Provide both medical and surgical management of common and complex urologic disorders consistent with training and experience
  • Perform office-based urologic procedures and diagnostic services
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures within the physician’s training and scope of practice
  • Provide inpatient consultation and participate in urologic call coverage
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
  • Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and clinical support staff to optimize patient access and continuity of care
  • Participate in quality improvement, care standardization, and patient safety initiatives
  • Support the continued growth and development of urology services within Frederick Health
  • Participate in coverage models that ensure efficient and reliable urologic services for the organization and community
