About The Position

Sanford Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible urologist to join a successful, well-established group of 2 physicians. This is a high-volume practice with over 30 patients per day, seeing 80% adult and 20% pediatrics. The practice utilizes a Xi DaVinci robot and offers outreach opportunities to Dickinson and Minot, supported by a large referral base spanning western North Dakota. There are also teaching opportunities with the UND School of Medicine, within a culture of innovation and supportive administration. The Urology Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examinations, admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care, and perform Urologic surgical procedures for patients of all ages. This includes disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal gland, encompassing endoscopic, percutaneous, and open surgery for congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures. Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree
Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Urology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
Demonstrate at least 50 urology procedures in the last 12 months (either via residency log, quality profile, or documentation of clinical setting activity).

Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via waiver of eligibility process.
More education and experience may be required for more advanced practice.

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination
