About The Position

The General Ultrasound Sonographer performs a variety of professional and non-clinical ultrasound procedures while maintaining optimal image quality. The position is full-time, works nights at Mount Carmel East, and includes rotating weekends. A shift differential applies as appropriate, and the position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

The Sonographer provides patient care, supports patient safety, evidence-based practice, and quality initiatives, and maintains professionalism in accordance with established Radiology and Imaging National standards. The role also includes entering and accurately accounting for online charges in the Radiology Information System (RIS) as specified by administrative policy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program.
• Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or registered with ARRT (S), with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, or other areas as appropriate.
• Effective communication skills.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

• Prior experience as a Sonographer.
