About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is currently seeking a General Surgical Pathologist to join a well-respected collegial team of 16 pathologists covering four hospitals and a central laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada. This dynamic pathology group includes specialists in hematopathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, and subspecialty-trained GI and Head and Neck surgical pathologists.

Requirements

• Medical Degree required
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Nevada or eligibility for licensure

Nice To Haves

• Pathologists with 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in GYN, GU, Head and Neck, or GI.

Responsibilities

• Rotation between the Burnham lab and hospital settings.
• Performing frozen sections and rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE).
• Handling a mix of outpatient and hospital-based surgical pathology cases including breast, GYN, GU, and GI.
• Reviewing some cytology cases such as body fluids, urine, GI brushings, and pap smears.
