About The Position

Posterity Group LLC, a veteran-owned, service-disabled small business, is seeking Board Certified/Eligible General Surgeons to staff The Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. The role involves providing comprehensive general surgery services within the VA system.

Requirements

• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved medical or osteopathic medicine program.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Be present on time for scheduled clinics/surgeries.
• Provide notification of test results for patients in accordance with VHA Directive 1088.
• Follow all established medication policies and procedures, and do not provide sample medications.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for all general surgery patients.
