About The Position

Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. As an APP in our General Surgery department, you will have the unique opportunity to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will be diverse, ranging from working in our outpatient clinic, performing outpatient procedures, consults, and follow-ups, to post-operative appointments, inpatient rounding, discharging, and first assisting in the operating room.

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP)
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Maine State Board of Nursing
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Maine State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in the General Surgery department.
• Work in the outpatient clinic.
• Perform outpatient procedures, consults, and follow-ups.
• Manage post-operative appointments.
• Conduct inpatient rounding.
• Handle patient discharges.
• Provide first assist in the operating room.
