About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring General Surgeons in Stockton, California, to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings. The role provides an alternative to hospital-based surgical practice, with clinical autonomy, weekday scheduling, no nights or weekends, and no call. Physicians use surgical expertise to treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds, perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures, and follow patients through healing. Wound care experience is not required; comprehensive training is provided. The position is available full-time or part-time. Part-time physicians work 2–3 days per week, and full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week. Compensation is described as $250,000–$500,000 annually for full-time work, with per-patient and per-procedure pay and quarterly bonus programs. The posting states there is no earnings cap for independent contractors and that top performers earn more than $500,000 through performance bonuses.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
Complete pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and relevant skills testing.
