About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring General Surgeons in Tucson, Arizona, to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings. The role offers clinical autonomy and a weekday schedule without nights, weekends, call, or pagers. Physicians perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures, evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds, and use advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols. They collaborate with care teams and follow patients through healing. Wound care training is provided, and prior wound care experience is not required. The position is available part-time or full-time. Compensation is described as per-patient and per-procedure pay, with quarterly bonus programs and no earning cap for independent contractors; the posting also lists a full-time salary range of $250,000–$500,000 per year and average annual earnings of $200,000–$250,000, with top performers earning $300,000 or more through performance bonuses. Candidates must complete confidential pre-employment DiSC testing and relevant skills testing.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Complete pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and appropriate relevant skills testing.
• No prior wound care experience is required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.
