Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects
  • HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP experience strongly preferred
  • Proven success leading field teams and coordinating complex commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, manpower planning, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily field operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity
  • Develop and manage project schedules to keep work progressing on time
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for maximum efficiency
  • Plan work sequencing and proactively resolve field challenges
  • Represent VMG in meetings with owners, general contractors, engineers, and project partners
  • Promote a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and VMG safety standards
  • Identify and resolve hazards while investigating incidents and near misses
  • Ensure installations meet project specifications, code requirements, and VMG quality expectations
  • Monitor workmanship and maintain accountability for project performance
  • Protect company assets, including tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Complete daily reports, timesheets, schedules, and documentation accurately
  • Track labor productivity, project costs, invoices, and subcontractor performance
  • Maintain organized project records from startup through closeout
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate field crews
  • Establish clear expectations and hold teams accountable
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful work environment built on trust and communication
  • Help develop the next generation of field leaders
