General Studies Imperial Valley Lecturer Pool 2026-2027
About The Position
San Diego State University (SDSU) Imperial Valley is seeking applications for its 2026-2027 part-time lecturer pool. The university welcomes applications from prospective temporary faculty with expertise or experience to teach General Studies courses. Temporary appointments can be full-time or part-time, and positions may be filled on short notice prior to the start of an academic term. The Fall term runs from mid-August to late-December, and the Spring term runs from mid-January to mid-May. Summer Session teaching opportunities may also be available. Initial appointments are typically for one semester or one academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and work availability. Applications will remain active in the pool for the academic year they are submitted.
Requirements
- Graduate degree
- University teaching experience
- Demonstrated currency in subject matter
- Authorization to conduct background checks if selected as a finalist.
- Compliance with CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment (mandated reporter).
Responsibilities
- Teach General Studies courses.
