About The Position

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Tire and Lube Technician to provide vehicle maintenance and customer service. The role involves tire services, oil changes, fluid checks, basic vehicle inspections, and wheel alignments and balancing. The technician will maintain accurate service records, help customers with tire recommendations and inquiries, and follow shop safety protocols. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends. Pay is $650–$800 weekly.

Requirements

• Emissions certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient knowledge of tire installation, repair techniques, and oil change procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a tire and lube technician or in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and inquiries, providing customer service.
• Follow company safety protocols and guidelines in the shop.
