About The Position
Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the automotive industry, with opportunities for growth and promotion from within. The starting pay ranges from $14 to $18 per hour, with a preference for candidates who have or are pursuing a State Inspector License.
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays (with Sundays off).
Nice To Haves
- Some knowledge of basic automotive systems.
- State Inspector License (or working toward it).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous automotive experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotation.
- Conduct oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance.
- Perform multi-point inspections and document vehicle conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Drive vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
- Pick up parts and supplies.
- Transport customers as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the direct supervisor.
- Support team members with other assigned tasks.
- Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values and company policies.
