About The Position

Wyatt Johnson Toyota, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced, talented, and innovative General Sales Manager to join their leadership team. Hudson Automotive is a large and growing automotive dealer group in the Southeast U.S. focused on customer experience. This role is for an experienced General Sales Manager or an accomplished Sales Manager in the automotive industry with a proven track record of success in developing and leading high-performing sales teams.

Requirements

  • High-performing automotive sales leader with a proven ability to drive new- and used-vehicle sales, grow market share, and consistently exceed volume and profitability goals.
  • Strategic General Sales Manager who can recruit, coach, motivate, and retain top sales talent while building a culture of accountability, urgency, and winning performance.
  • Customer-focused leader who delivers exceptional sales experiences, maintains high satisfaction standards, and ensures every team member is aligned around earning long-term customer loyalty.
  • Collaborative operator who partners effectively with finance, service, parts, and executive leadership to remove barriers, improve processes, and maximize dealership results.
  • Hands-on leader with strong communication, team development skills, disciplined follow-up, and the attitude needed to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  • Strong background in both New and Used vehicle operations.
  • Performance management.
  • Track record of success developing new and used-vehicle sales departments and unlocking the potential of all employees within these departments.
  • Proven experience in training management staff, directing work, and removing barriers to success.
  • Experience forecasting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals for the department and for individual sales consultants, providing them with the support to meet these goals.
  • Proven success in hiring, training, motivating, and assessing the performance of all new- and used-sales personnel.
  • Prior automotive sales and management experience is required.
  • Résumé should demonstrate: Annual sales volume and revenue growth. Increases in gross profit. Team size you've managed. CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) improvements. Hiring, retention, and employee development success. Awards (Toyota President's Award, DealerRater, Sales Manager of the Year, etc., if applicable). Examples of building high-performing sales cultures.
