About The Position

This role involves acting as an Opposing Force (OPFOR) and Role Player (RP) for a training scenario. RPs will need to stay on script, wear appropriate costumes, and operate various military weapons systems, including those firing marking cartridges, paintball rounds, and blank ammunition. The role requires physical fitness to work in austere environments, including during darkness, and the ability to handle weapons safely. RPs must be comfortable being restrained and searched, standing and laying prone for extended periods, and participating in scenarios where they will be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition while wearing protective gear. The training dates are July 23-24, with a team size of 22 RPs, and a pay rate of $20/hour.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older.
Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.
Have a valid driver's license.
Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
Be able to operate various military weapons systems and fire marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after being instructed on the safe use of weapons.
Shall be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
Be comfortable with having trainees frisk and search them while they are restrained.
Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods of time with and without restraints.
Be able to participate in scenario training where they should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing safety equipment (personal protective equipment).
Be able to wear safety equipment consisting of a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.

Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

Stay on script for the scenario without adlibbing or changing the scope of the scenario.
Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the scenario training.
Operate various military weapons systems and fire marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after instruction.
Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR), including being engaged with marking cartridge weapons.
Be physically fit with no limitations that would preclude working in an austere environment or during darkness.
Be familiar with basic weapons handling, including safety.
Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods.
Be comfortable with trainees frisking and searching them while restrained.
Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods with and without restraints.
