About The Position

Seeking Role Players (RPs) to act as Opposing Force (OPFOR) for a 3-day training exercise in Macon, GA, from July 20-22. This is a contract, temporary position. RPs will be required to stay on script, wear appropriate costuming, and operate various military weapons systems, including those firing marking cartridges, paintball rounds, and blank ammunition. The role involves being engaged with marking cartridge weapons in an austere environment, potentially during hours of darkness. Physical fitness is essential, with no limitations that would preclude working in such conditions. RPs must be comfortable with basic weapons handling, safety, being restrained for prolonged periods, and being searched by trainees while restrained. They should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing provided safety equipment, including a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard. The ability to stand and lay prone for extended periods, with or without restraints, is also required.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or pre-existing medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stay on script for the scenario without adlibbing or changing the scope of the scenario.
  • Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the significance of the scenario training.
  • Operate various military weapons systems and fire marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after being instructed on the safe use of weapons.
  • Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR), including being engaged with marking cartridge weapons.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or pre-existing medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
  • Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
  • Be comfortable with having trainees frisk and search them while they are restrained.
  • Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods of time with and without restraints.
  • Participate in scenario training where they should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing safety equipment (personal protective equipment).
  • Wear safety equipment consisting of a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.
