About The Position
RP Chicago, a Radiology Partners practice, is seeking board-certified or board-eligible General/Emergency Radiologists for flexible weekend remote independent-contractor work. The schedule is adaptable and not shift-based, with no required call or minimum hours. Radiologists work from home and interpret non-subspecialty diagnostic imaging studies, supporting emergency and inpatient imaging needs during overnight hours. The case mix includes CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films from emergency departments and inpatient services, as well as outpatient studies. Optimized worklists and balanced case distribution are designed to support efficient workflows and minimize unnecessary interruptions. The role uses Radiology Partners’ Mosaic AI Operating System, which applies artificial intelligence and workflow automation to prioritize studies, improve turnaround times, and reduce administrative work. The practice provides malpractice coverage, including tail coverage, credentialing support, clinical and technical support, and a workstation for remote work. The opportunity may suit radiologists seeking supplemental work, a flexible professional schedule, or a transition toward retirement.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
- Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
- Ability to secure an Illinois license.
Responsibilities
- Interpret non-subspecialty diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films.
- Read STAT/ER cases and support emergency and inpatient imaging needs during overnight hours.
- Interpret outpatient, emergency department, and inpatient studies.
