About The Position
Hartgrove Hospital, a premier for-profit psychiatric hospital and a flagship for UHS, is part of a two-hospital system in downtown Chicago. Hartgrove Behavioral Health System consists of 168 beds and is expanding to 208, providing acute care, crisis stabilization, treating children as young as 3 through older adults, within 8 different inpatient programs. We also serve as a teaching hospital for multiple other disciplines including Nursing, Social Work, Expressive Therapy, Occupational Therapy and others. This is a full-time, employed position (W2) in an in-patient setting, focusing on general psychiatry with a strong emphasis on addictions. The role involves a caseload of dual-diagnosed older adolescents and adults with primary psychiatric issues and heavy secondary substance abuse issues. There is a leadership opportunity as Associate Director of Addictions. The hospital utilizes Electronic Health Records. There is no weekend rounding, and call is rotated with the group (1:8).
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Possess an IL Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Provide general psychiatric care with a strong focus on addictions.
- Manage a caseload of dual-diagnosed older adolescents and adults with primary psychiatric issues and heavy secondary substance abuse issues.
- Potentially serve as Associate Director of Addictions.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records.
- Participate in call rotation (1:8).
