About The Position

Western Valley Meat is a family-owned company dedicated to supporting the Valley communities by producing high-quality meat items for sale in grocery stores and restaurants globally. We are seeking to expand our Fabrication General Production team. This role involves various tasks in the initial stages of meat processing, where the team upholds high standards for product cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms to do simple gripping and grasping.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects.
• Position requires the use of knives and hooks.
• Ability to follow general workplace safety procedures and policies while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Using tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other specialized manufacturing equipment
• Skinning, Trimming, Sorting, Hanging and Inspection of Carcasses and other edible offal products
• Loading Product into machines, packaging, and boxing, labeling and scaling of product
