Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
Ability to work with a knife (if trained).
Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
Ability to work in an environment that is wet and humid.
Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
Ability to work around strong smells/odors.
Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
Ability to walk long distances.
May require certification in order to operate various pieces of equipment.
Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work scheduled shifts and required overtime.
Some positions may require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects up to 60 lbs, or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

Stacking pallets of finished product (up to 17lbs).
Removing inedible meat and debris from the production floor.
Performing repetitive overhead lifting and handling of raw meat.
Working on a refrigerated production floor held at approximately 38F.
Performing additional general labor work as assigned.
Working with hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to process meat products.
Supporting coworkers and contributing to a positive work environment.
Maintaining a safe and efficient production line.
Ensuring products reach families across America.
Performing other duties as assigned.
