Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
  • Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
  • Ability to work with a knife (if trained).
  • Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
  • Ability to work in an environment that is wet and humid.
  • Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work around strong smells/odors.
  • Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • May require certification in order to operate various pieces of equipment.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and required overtime.
  • Some positions may require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects up to 60 lbs, or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.

  • Experience with hand tools, knives, and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Stacking pallets of finished product (up to 17lbs).
  • Removing inedible meat and debris from the production floor.
  • Performing repetitive overhead lifting and handling of raw meat.
  • Working on a refrigerated production floor held at approximately 38F.
  • Performing additional general labor work as assigned.
  • Working with hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to process meat products.
  • Supporting coworkers and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient production line.
  • Ensuring products reach families across America.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
