General Production - B Shift (Storm Lake Pork)
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing entry-level, non-skilled general labor tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be able and willing to work in any department of this pork processing facility. Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include Monday through Saturday, based on production and operational needs. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach throughout the work shift.
- Must be able and willing to lift materials and products as required by the assigned work area; lifting requirements vary by department.
- Must be able and willing to work in cold, damp, hot, and/or humid environments.
- Must be able and willing to walk and work on potentially slippery surfaces.
- Must be able and willing to perform physical labor for the duration of the assigned shift.
- Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include Monday through Saturday, based on production and operational needs.
- Must be able and willing to work in any department of this pork processing facility.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Tyson Workers: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
