The General Production Operator contributes to all phases of the production process, including operating automated production equipment, diagnosing machinery issues, assisting with preventive maintenance, and sanitizing equipment. Operators make production decisions related to equipment preflight and operation, and may rotate among assignments throughout production. The role also supports a safe work environment and requires competency in activities that may affect product safety, legality, or quality. Depending on assignment, operators may scale ingredients and operate mixers, dough pumps, dividers, rounders, and proofers; operate slicers, baggers, and tier equipment; or monitor palletizing programs and materials. Similar responsibilities apply to roll line operator, board monitor, and retard box monitor assignments. All employees are accountable for the quality and safety of their work and products.
