Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency
Demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Two years related bakery or production experience

Responsibilities

Contribute to all phases of the production process, including operating automated production equipment.
Perform primary diagnosis of machinery failures.
Aid with preventative maintenance.
Sanitize equipment.
Make production decisions concerning the preflight and operation of equipment.
Rotate job assignments throughout production.
Contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment.
Demonstrate competency for all on-the-job activities that may affect product safety, legality, and/or quality.
Check production work schedules for job assignment and work reporting time.
When job assignment is SCALER/DIVIDER OPERATOR: check and maintain production schedule, scale ingredients, load/operate/unload mixer(s), operate dough pump, check posted scaling weights and equipment standards, adjust and operate one pocket and six pocket dividers, adjust and operate rounder, adjust and operate overhead proofer, perform start-up/shut down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance, ensure work area is clean and organized, perform other duties as directed by supervision, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
When job assignment is WRAPPING OPERATOR: check production schedule and verify product running order, check pan count sheet for product quantity, check production wrap count sheet for bag types, set and operate slicer, bagger, and tier equipment, perform quality control inspection of finished product, ensure product is loaded correctly, perform start-up/shut down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance, ensure work area is clean and organized, perform other duties as directed by supervision, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
When job assignment is PALLETIZER: check production schedule and verify product running order, check to ensure that the proper program is running, check pallets, slip sheets, etc. for quantity, perform start-up/shut down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance, ensure work area is clean and organized, perform other duties as directed by supervision, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Perform similar responsibilities when assignment is ROLL LINE OPERATOR, BOARD MONITOR, RETARD BOX MONITOR.
Be responsible and accountable for insuring the quality and safety of every function and all products.
