About The Position

The General Production Manager is responsible for all production operations at the facility. This includes managing all production supervisors’ departments, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This role includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve in any deficient areas. Some travel is required as needed. Tyson provides relocation assistance for this role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate with all levels of management
• Team-leader, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with processing floor operations
• HACCP certification and a basic understanding of HACCP principals
• Knowledge of fresh meats processing

Responsibilities

• Manage all production supervisors’ departments

• Conduct audits and inspections using fixed ladders, stairs steps, etc.
• Perform CCP monitoring verification
