About The Position

The General Production Laborer on the Fabrication Floor follows procedures to process carcasses into standard cuts for market. The role is responsible for meeting goals set by the Fabrication Manager for line speed and work quality, and for helping operations run smoothly, efficiently, cleanly, and safely while maintaining compliance and contributing to the team.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods while performing physical, repetitive line work.
• Ability to grip, grasp, lift, or push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to withstand cold temperatures and work in a wet environment.
• Use tools and machinery, including knives, wrap products, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing in a similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beef boning processes, including performing assembly-line cuts needed to process a carcass.
• Remove bones and cut meat into standard cuts for market.
• Sort and separate lean meat and fat.
• Pull, bag, and package cuts to fulfill orders.
• Help ensure Fabrication Floor operations run smoothly, efficiently, cleanly, and safely and remain compliant.
• Meet goals set by the Fabrication Manager for line speed and quality of work.
