General Labor - 1st shift (October 2026) - Berry St Plant
About The Position
This position is responsible for various general labor tasks within the Berry Street Facility on the 1st shift. The role requires adherence to safety rules, the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40+ pounds, and working in varying environmental conditions including damp, cold, or hot environments. The job involves long periods of standing (8-10 hours a day), walking, bending, stretching, climbing, and reaching in a fast-paced setting. Specific tasks may include cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Applicants must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including ear protection, hair nets, and beard guards, and must possess good hand-eye coordination. Positions rotate throughout the department, and applicants may be considered for any general labor opening on any shift. Overtime and weekends may be required.
Requirements
- Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules
- Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40+ pounds for some positions
- Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to perform the duties of the position
- Be willing to stand 8-10 hours a day
- Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard
- Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed
- Must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
