About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall physical appearance of the premises. The groundskeeper will maintain the premises of the plant, including weeding, trimming, and pulling weeds. They will also be responsible for emptying trash bins outside and picking up loose trash. This role involves operating a forklift (requiring certification), chemical loading/unloading, and spill control responsibilities. The groundskeeper may also perform other duties as required by the supervisor, including offal duties and tasks related to wastewater. The role requires the ability to lift 5 to 70 pounds at times and involves working with chemicals. The work is primarily outside the facility, subject to weather elements, with some assignments inside the facility as directed. The majority of the shift will involve standing and walking to keep the grounds clean and orderly.

Requirements

Must pass MVR check
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Forklift operator certification
Chemical handling training
SPCC training

Nice To Haves

1 year experience in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, or landscaping field
Small engine repair knowledge is helpful

Responsibilities
