About The Position

This position is responsible for various general production labor duties on the 2nd shift at the Berry Street Facility. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with demanding physical requirements. Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening on any shift, including day and evening shifts, and must be available for overtime and weekends as needed. Some positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules
Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40+ pounds for some positions
Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level
Must be able to perform the duties of the position
Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day
Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard
Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed
Must have good hand/eye coordination
Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed
Long periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching are required
Positions work in a cold, hot, wet and slippery environment
Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed
These positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
180 days (6 months) waiting period for rehire consideration
Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire
