About The Position

1st Shift General Production Assembler needed in our South Bend, Indiana location. Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday Come work for an awesome employer that values their employees. The General Production Assembler is responsible for the assembly of product throughout the production area while adhering to the product quality and product delivery guidelines. The ideal candidate has the flexibility to adapt the workload as customer changes are communicated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Communication skills; Ability to communicate with peers, superiors, and management.
  • Cross trained for all areas of production.
  • Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the work load requires.
  • Willingness to obtain knowledge of product and process.
  • Ability to follow directives as set forth by superiors and/or management.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity in the assembly of small components with or without the assistance of equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble connectors in accordance with work orders and established work instructions.
  • Interpret and follow work orders, specifications, and special instructions accurately.
  • Complete all production documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and company procedures.
  • Operate equipment and machinery used in the assembly process; basic computer skills may be required.
  • Complete work orders within established facility promise dates and support on-time order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Review and disposition non-conforming materials in accordance with defined workmanship standards and guidance from manufacturers or management.
  • Utilize and interpret measurement tools, including gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Retrieve required materials from Kanban inventory systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
