About The Position

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Production Worker for their 1st shift. This role involves various positions on the production line, including Inspector, Processor, Packer, and Palletizer. The individual will support food safety critical control points and preventive controls. Marzetti is dedicated to making every meal better through high-quality, flavorful food and cultivating deep relationships.

Requirements

At least 18-years of age
High School Diploma or General Education (GED) preferred.
Prior Manufacturing Experience preferred but not required.
Ability to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Basic math skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Must be willing and able to learn skills necessary to accurately input data into computer, payroll, attendance, manufacturing, and inventory tracking systems.
Candidate must be able to pass both a background check and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Inspect raw materials, processed, and frozen precooked pasta to ensure it meets quality standards, verifying product is not undercooked, overcooked, misshapen, or thawed.
Shape, stack, and roll cheese-filled lasagna rolls or sandwiches as they are conveyed to the freezer.
Mix and blend powder and granular ingredients for dry mixes.
Mix batches of dough for processing lines.
Assist with daily utensils, equipment, and line sanitation.
Ensure the right product is in the right bag and final shipping container.
Sort, stack, and orient product to properly fit in the finished case.
Fill and weigh frozen pasta pieces to appropriate case or tote weight according to customer requirements.
Ensure all packages are properly coded before packing.
Check pallets to ensure they are in good condition for loading product.
Verify all codes on boxes are complete, accurate, and legible with the line, shift, lot code, and product code.
Stack boxes on pallets using the correct configuration for the product running.
Obtain powered pallet truck qualification.
Apply food safety and quality principles as described in the Marzetti Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual and internal policies, training, and procedures.
