About The Position

Under the supervision of an assigned attending Physician, the General Physician Assistant performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and provides varied medical services to deliver comprehensive patient care within the scope of practice. The position provides medical care for the Behavioral Health Department’s inpatient service during evenings and weekends, works closely with psychiatric residents and attending physicians, and provides medical coverage in CPEP as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Knowledge of basic MS Office Suite.
• Interest in providing primary care to a psychiatric population.
