General Pediatrics APP - Coastal Kids Southwest
About The Position
Coastal Kids Southwest is seeking a full-time advanced practice provider (APP) to join its pediatric care team in Bakersfield. The APP will work alongside compassionate pediatricians and APPs to provide care for children and young adults. The schedule is four or five days per week, with minimal call. A 12-week training program is provided for new-graduate APPs. The practice uses eClinical Works and AI scribe technology. Coastal Kids is a physician-led pediatric medical group serving families for more than 25 years, with 21 offices across five counties and more than 100 providers. Its work is guided by Care, Accessibility, Reliability, and Excellence, with an emphasis on collaboration, evidence-based practices, and compassionate, personalized care from infancy to young adulthood. The California base salary range is $135,000 to $176,000. This is base salary only and does not include bonuses, benefits, or other incentives. Offers depend on factors including education, work experience, and certifications; offers are not typically made at or near the top of the range. Benefits and incentives are subject to position and division eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Physician Assistants must have passed the NCCPA certification exam.
- Nurse Practitioners must be board certified.
- Nurse Practitioners must be certified by the ANCC or PNCB.
- Current, unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain one in California.
- Meet all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
