General Pediatrician - Coastal Kids Riverwalk
About The Position
Coastal Kids, in partnership with Pediatric Associates Family of Companies, is seeking a full-time outpatient Pediatrician for its Bakersfield, California office. The position is based in Bakersfield, with occasional travel to nearby sister clinics. The role includes newborn rounding and offers a choice of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., or Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Clinic hours are flexible, with optional Saturdays or extended weekday hours. The position is eligible for incentives of up to $150,000 and a relocation allowance. Coastal Kids is a physician-led pediatric medical group with 21 offices across five counties and more than 100 providers. The practice emphasizes collaborative, whole-child care, including integrated behavioral health support, and uses current technologies and evidence-based practices. It is part of Pediatric Associates Family of Companies, a physician-led pediatric primary care organization serving children and families across the United States and Mexico.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-approved postgraduate residency, or equivalent, in Pediatrics.
- Current, unrestricted California medical license, or ability to obtain one.
- Current, unrestricted California DEA license, or ability to obtain one.
- Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics within five years of completing training.
- Meet requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient pediatric care.
- Perform newborn rounding.
- Travel occasionally to nearby sister clinics as needed.
