General Pediatrician
About The Position
Geisinger Medical Clinic Lock Haven is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physician in General Pediatrics. This role involves providing health maintenance and acute care for patients from newborn to 18 years of age. The physician will assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans, making accurate entries into the electronic medical record, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medical therapy based on evidence-based practice. This is an outpatient-only position with limited evening and weekend phone call coverage. The position is a 20-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with occasional Saturday acute clinic coverage from 8 am-12 pm every 1:4-8 weekends, depending on the provider complement. The clinic is a new multispecialty clinic with primary care, some subspecialties, and Urgent Care on-site, along with lab, pharmacy, and radiology services. Social work and psychology support are available for the pediatric clinic, and pediatric subspecialty support is accessible through outreach clinics or chart consults. There are also opportunities for participation in medical student education and as an adjunct faculty member at Geisinger School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Board certified or board-eligible Physician in General Pediatrics
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
