General Pediatric APP- Full-Time-NP/PA
About The Position
This is a full-time General Pediatric APP position in a Primary Care Setting. The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and follow-up for a shared or owned panel of patients, or handling cases on a by-visit basis. Responsibilities include managing multiple chronic illnesses, performing minimally invasive procedures, and working with a stable patient population. The APP will recommend screenings and tests based on patients' demographics and manage healthcare within agreed-upon protocols. Early identification of abnormal findings and appropriate intervention are key. The role may also involve participation in committees and research. In On-Site/Teammate Health Clinic Settings, the APP will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and follow-up for patients on a by-visit basis, including virtual visits, managing acute illnesses or chronic medication administration.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
- Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required.
- BLS required per policy guidelines and with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
- Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
- Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
- Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
- AGPCNP, FNP, PNP-PC, or ANP certification according to population served.
Responsibilities

- Manages acute illnesses or chronic medication administration and works with a stable patient population.
