About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 2 to join their Advanced Microelectronics Cell (AMEC) team in Baltimore, MD. This role involves direct supervision of approximately 15-20 represented (union) employees and manufacturing processes. The manager will be responsible for managing consumables to meet budget targets, assigning and managing employees to maximize efficiency and achieve productive yields, implementing process improvements for affordability, quality, and schedule, and performing necessary SAP/MES transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills for a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; or 12 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Experience as a functional leader
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Project Management
  • Experience with SAP/MES
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Active/Current U.S. Government Security Level Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or other STEM area
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment
