About The Position

This role is for a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 based out of Linthicum, MD. The manager will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 - 20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment for ACT – Assembly Coating and Test. The role involves managing the use of consumables to achieve budget targets, assigning and managing represented EMS Operators to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields, implementing process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule, and performing required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT or Engineering environment or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience leading and/or managing people and/or projects
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Experience with SAP/MES.
  • Experience with ISO, 5S, CI, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment.
