About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products to customers and distributing flyers and door hangers within a designated delivery area. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, verbal, written, and telephone communication, precise motor coordination, computer keyboard or touch-screen order entry, and the ability to understand and provide written instructions. The employee must communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, use maps to locate addresses, and navigate varied terrain—including multi-story buildings and private homes—while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone to process orders.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
