About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for upholding and administering all Regal policies, ensuring adherence to cash management policies and procedures, and controlling concession inventory. This role involves hiring, training, developing, supervising, and managing employees. The General Manager also oversees projection and audio-visual equipment, manages costs, supervises theatre maintenance, monitors janitorial staff, and handles risk management. Additionally, the position is responsible for guest relations, marketing, promotions, scheduling show times, and reconciling all receipts. The role requires understanding training materials on topics such as anti-harassment and discrimination.

Requirements

Two years of post-secondary education in Business and/or two years management or supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills.
If the theatre sells alcohol and assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
Must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate.
Must complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Academy.
Good public speaking skills.
Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc.
Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and ability to explain information to others.
Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems.

Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.

Responsibilities

Upholding and administering all Regal policies as outlined in Regal Policy Guide and Theatre Support Office directives.
Ensuring all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Controlling concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
Hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating of any employee.
Properly administering all applicable paperwork and upholding all company policies as they pertain to Human Resources.
Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
Supervising all staff positions as required, including all projection and audio-visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, as well as all applicable film handling and maintenance.
Controlling costs, including all direct operating expenses; purchasing and ordering stock and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as the inventory and auditing processes involved in tracking those supplies.
Supervising theatre maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable), including performing minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
Monitoring janitorial staff to ensure facility is cleaned to Regal standards every day.
Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the theatre, i.e., team member and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
Responsible for guest relations; marketing and promotions of feature film engagements; scheduling of movie show times and the timely delivery of show times to all proper channels; and counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts taken in during a business day.
Reading and understanding training materials that will cover subjects such as anti-harassment and discrimination.
