About The Position

JETSET Pilates is hiring a Founding General Manager to launch a new Ann Arbor studio. The role partners closely with ownership to recruit and develop the team, build community excitement, establish operational processes, drive founding membership sales, and prepare the studio for a successful opening. After launch, the General Manager leads day-to-day studio operations and continues to drive membership growth, team development, and an exceptional client experience. General Managers are expected to complete the JETSET Instructor Training Academy Program, teach an average of 6–8 classes per week, and maintain an active in-studio presence during at least 25 class times per week. The position may expand to support additional studio openings and multi-unit growth as the brand scales.

Requirements

At least 3 years of operations or general management experience.
Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams.
Experience driving revenue targets and coaching others to meet sales goals.
Strong analytical skills, including building reports, interpreting data, and making metrics-backed decisions.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining momentum and attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients and team members.
Ability to travel for a 5-day instructor training at a Regional Training & Support Center.
Ability to stand and move throughout the studio for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Operations or general management experience in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a luxury membership-model consumer service environment.
Experience leading teams across multiple locations or in a pre-opening context.

Responsibilities

Execute local grassroots marketing initiatives before opening and build relationships with local businesses, influencers, and community partners.
Generate local awareness and excitement, manage a pipeline of prospective founding members, support local social media initiatives, and coordinate community events and pre-sale activations.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the founding Instructor and Studio Lead team before opening.
Lead onboarding and operational training; foster accountability, collaboration, and hospitality; and conduct regular coaching conversations and performance check-ins.
Partner with ownership on launch readiness, establish operational processes and workflows, and build schedules, staffing plans, and operational standards.
Ensure opening-day execution and coordinate vendor readiness, equipment setup, and operational logistics.
Drive founding membership sales and execute pre-sale and launch campaigns.
Coach the team on consultative sales techniques and monitor pre-sale conversion metrics, founding membership goals, and launch-readiness KPIs.
Provide ownership with regular updates on launch readiness and business performance, identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, and support future studio openings.
Lead ongoing day-to-day studio operations following launch while continuing to drive membership growth, team development, and client experience.
Complete the JETSET Instructor Training Academy Program, teach an average of 6–8 classes per week, and maintain an in-studio presence during a minimum of 25 class times per week.
