About The Position
The General Manager is responsible for maximizing sales and revenues to meet Donated Goods Retail's commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill-Easter Seals MN. This position provides high-level leadership and guidance through development and training of store personnel and store operations. In a typical day, a General Manager can expect to oversee Store Operations, ensure the retail store operates efficiently and effectively. They will also focus on Talent Management, ensuring store talent is trained and developed and managing store personnel needs. Additionally, they will manage Store Business Management, ensuring financial and business control through reporting and communication. The role also involves ensuring continued community involvement and education around Goodwill-Easter Seals through Services and Programs, and helping to contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for employees and customers through Safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees and customers
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- Knowledge/expertise working with persons with disadvantages and/or disabilities and barriers to employment
- Ability to recruit high quality individuals and build a strong team

- 3-5 Years of relevant experience required
