About The Position
Operate all equipment; stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, making correct monetary change, verbal, writing, and telephone skills for processing orders, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The employee must be able to follow and give written instructions, communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, navigate to addresses within the designated delivery area, and carry products across varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, potentially using a calculator.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
