About The Position

The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory; completes paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. The position also delivers products and marketing materials to customers and delivery locations. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The role involves customer and coworker communication, order processing in person and by telephone, handling money, operating a computer or touch screen, and directing activities. Work includes food preparation and store tasks, paperwork, deliveries, and driving within a designated delivery area. The position requires working in varied store and outdoor conditions and performing frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand-use tasks, as well as lifting and carrying deliveries and products.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Valid driver license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and occasional stair or ladder climbing.
• Far and night vision for driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and prepare products.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas, storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Direct activities and perform tasks to meet quality-control standards.
• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers, doorhangers, and other marketing materials.
• Unload deliveries using a hand truck and move ingredients and supplies to storage shelves.
