The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift at a Domino’s Pizza store, including staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, inventory, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, profitability, and adherence to company standards and policies. The manager sets an example for the crew and ensures excellent customer service, attendance, punctuality, and work to schedule. The role involves operating store equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position also includes physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling trays, climbing occasionally, and repeatedly reaching, bending, and using hands to prepare and handle food. The posting includes driving-specific duties: delivering products by car to customers, distributing flyers and door hangers, navigating delivery areas, and carrying products between the store, vehicle, and customer locations. Drivers must have a valid license and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. Work conditions may include exposure to varying and adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Store temperatures can range from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or higher in some work areas. Delivery duties may involve adverse weather, driving at night, and navigating multiple flights of stairs.
