Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for Food and Nutrition Services at UnityPoint Health in the Quad cities, which include Rock Island and Moline in Illinois and Bettendorf and Davenport in Iowa. This role has full accountability for the Food and Nutrition programs at those locations. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Have a background in food service or culinary management
  • Strong strategic leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact from frontline to C-suite
  • Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Have exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a self-starter mindset
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years minimum management experience
  • 5 years minimum functional experience
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Have oversight of day-to-day food service operations
  • Deliver predictable top and bottom-line results at the site, relentless focus on driving efficiency, an edge in execution, and makes difficult decisions
  • Drive change and create a culture where change is embraced and operationalized. Bring innovation to client organization through deployment of Sodexo programs and brand
  • Oversee Sodexo’s Patient Dining Program and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery
  • Collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience
  • Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy
  • Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies
  • Mentor, develop, and retain managers and frontline staff
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
